Amazon Fire Tablet Kids - Must Have Apps
The Amazon Fire Tablet is my favorite tablet for kids! We have other Android tables, and an iPad/iPhones, but the Fire Tablet knocks them all out of the water. Of course there is also YouTube Kids, Disney+, Nick Jr, and other streaming apps, and we have those too for long flights or car rides. In this post, I'm going to share the educational apps my kids enjoy. Here's my affiliate link to grab your Fire Tablets and accessories from Amazon (ad: https://geni.us/W04I0M, or https://amzn.to/48T5qo2 if you don't want to open in the app).
The Amazon Kids Tablet comes with an entire year free subscription to all of the apps, and I'm going to share my favorites (and my kids favorites!) with you! Keep in mind, while Android devices have some of these, many are not the full version unless you pay specifically for the app. The subscription currently has a monthly charge but covers up to 4 children in the family plan. On the Amazon Parent Dashboard, you are able to view when children open the apps, any calls and messages, and more.
In addition to these excellent applications, there is also access to great children's books and educational videos (like Blippi!), and other media content. The Amazon Kids Fire Tablets have everything you need for playing and learning at your child's fingertips!
Recommended Educational Apps:
Sesame Street Alphabet Kitchen for Unlimited - it's so much fun to decorate alphabet cookies, and even more fun to feed them to Cookie Monster and Elmo! Kids have a blast decorating, and there are also higher level activities like word building included on this app!
Disney Buddies: ABC/Disney Buddies: 123s - These both are jam packed with fun mini-games that my 1 to 5 year old boys absolutely love playing! Each letter has a game, and each number 1-20 also have a game. The games feature familiar Disney characters and are easy and FUN to play!
Kahn Academy Kids: Learning! - while there are other learning apps out there, this one is totally free and my kids LOVE the games in there! Popping bubbles is so much fun, and they're learning logic or letters while they do it!
Disney Junior Appisodes - rather than idly watching shows, the Disney Appisodes are interactive and kids can actually participate in the shows they're watching! My kids love the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and PJ Masks versions of Appisodes
"Just for fun" relaxation and gaming apps:
Fun Kid Racing - Motocross - they love racing, but they also love the educational activities like doing 8 "piece" puzzles and collecting their stars when they complete the puzzles!
The Lion Guard, Sonic Dash, Subway Surfers, Blaze and the Monster Machines Obstacle Course Challenge - these all present children with opportunities to practice hand/eye coordination, understanding of physics and spatial awareness, development of reaction time
Plumber 3 - logic puzzles and problem solving, STEM development
Streaming Apps with Kids Content:
Nick Jr.
Disney+
YouTube Kids
Netflix
