All Star Sports Resort Review
TIP TO SAVE - we were between staying at Art of Animation or All Star Sports, and with the recent promo we were able to get 2 adjoining rooms at All Star Sports for less than half the price of a suite at AOA! HIGHLY RECOMMEND - we opted for 2 rooms because we had 2 strollers, 2 adults, 3 kids, and everyone got their own sleeping space. I'll post more on where we put the pack n play! We honestly probably could have been fine in one room but it would have been tight and for $250 a night we had TWO rooms on property - not bad for a Disney vacation! We used the pool the first afternoon, and then spend 8:30AM to 10PM at the parks both days.
All Star Sports rooms have coffee, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, 2 queen beds (murphy and regular), tons of charging ports and regular outlets, dressers for clothing storage, space to hang clothing or swim suits in the bathrooms, ironing boards, irons, hair dryers, hangers, full length mirror (on the bathroom pocket door), ice containers, beverage coolers (yes it's cool enough to keep yogurt!), and a few plastic disposable cups.
Transportation was EASY. Yes it's all buses, but no matter where you stay, you will like go on a Disney bus at some point! Hollywood Studios to MK? BUS. AOA to MK? BUS. While some of the other resorts have monorail (we stayed at Polynesian last time and only visited MK, but we wanted to do Epcot and HS and MK this trip!) and Skyliner, the bus process was so easy. We arrived around 8:15 on the bus line for our rope drop Epcot day and we were pretty much the first people to ride Soren and Nemo that day! The most we waited was around 20 minutes for a bus and we didn't really mind a little downtime and snacks!
Resort features - the food court had everything we needed, plenty of choices. The food is reasonably priced for meals but it does REALLY add up if you're buying yogurts, fruit, drinks, etc. You do make your own coffee so you could re-use your cup the next day if you wanted to. There were some cute activities like s'mores and the firepit, but some were disappointing like the "pajama party" which was just 1 game and nobody was really there. The pools were perfect for us, the baby pool was cute and had a little swirl pattern that my kids called the "blue brick road" and followed around for a while. Pool side drinks are great, with access to the bar right outside the pool. They're pricy but that's expected. Plenty of life jackets for the kids and my 2 year old fit fine in the small size.
Pointers on the rooms at All Star Sports Resort:
Use the under the bed area for storage
If you have two bathrooms, consider one for the pack and play! I'm going to post another video on how we did this!
I would absolutely stay at All Star Sports again! Highly recommend!
